The SAU baseball team swept their 3-game Great American Conference series in Magnolia against Henderson State. The Muleriders won 11-7 Friday, then 7-6 and 7-4 Saturday. SAU’s Jacob Richardson hit safely in all three games to extend his hitting streak to 28 games; that’s a new conference record. Cory Gallegos led SAU with 6 hits in the series. Starting pitchers Dalton Algiene and Kenneth Tabor were the winners, and Makenzy Larsen saved both games. The Muleriders are scheduled to play a non-conference home game against Ouachita Baptist University at 6 p.m. Tuesday, then a home conference series against Harding Friday and Saturday.
