Police Arrests

On March 1 Gwin McLeod, 52 of Magnolia, was arrested and charged with theft of property over $1,000 and breaking or entering. McLeod was arrested based on a warrant that was issued in 2015 for his alleged involvement in the theft of a vehicle. McLeod was arrested in Texas shortly after the incident occurred in 2015, and he was held there on other charges.

On March 2 Larry Dewayne Shocklee, 42 of Sheridan, was arrested for theft on property (a debit card).

On March 4 Levi Conklin, 26 of Magnolia, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, Conklin’s arrest stems from a traffic stop for a traffic violation.

On March 8 Officers of the Magnolia Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the Dairy Queen parking lot. Officer’s identified the subject driving the vehicle to be Joey Ellis, 35 of Magnolia. On March 9 after the officers’ investigation, Ellis was arrested for driving left of center, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

On March 9Officers of the Magnolia Police Department were dispatched to the ER in reference to someone being stabbed. The victim reported a female stabbed him in the hand. During an investigation, a suspect was identified as Shanata Sharp, 27 of Magnolia. On March 10 Sharp was arrested for Domestic Battering 2nd degree.
