The Magnolia City Council has voted to replace a majority of the cast iron water mains.
The new mains will be PVC. Mayor Parnell Vann said the cast iron mains were installed in the 1940’s. Vann stated some mains were not allowing fire hydrants to work properly, but new hydrants will be installed and will automatically advise the city if they are leaking.
